Jochen Sprickerhof

My name is Jochen Sprickerhof and I'm working on robotics related packages.

My Linux experience reaches back to 1998 when I started using SuSE Linux but I switched to Debian in 1999. Since then I've been using Debian unstable on a daily basis on my own computer as well as Debian stable on servers I maintain.

I started working on Debian packages in 2011 as part of maintaining the PCL, though I have been looking into it before that occasionally. At first I worked with a PPA outside of Debian, but since 2013 I'm contributing to the Debian repository as well.

Accepted Talks:

Using sbuild in 2025

A lot of changes have happened in sbuild during the Trixie development cycle. In this talk, two sbuild maintainers will give an overview of how sbuild can be used in 2025. We will put special emphasis on the “unshare” backend which has since been rolled out on the Debian buildds. The talk will present what the unshare backend is, what its advantages are and how to use it for effective package development. The talk will include a Demo on how to use sbuild with the unshare backend, how to customize sbuild with apt-cacher-ng and how to run autopkgtests, piuparts and lintian locally. We’ll give an outlook on what features we have planned for the Forky release cycle and are looking for your input and feedback.
